A Coach’s Perspective. A CFF Pioneer’s Experience.
College fantasy football rewards managers who understand what drives a player’s production. Coaching decisions, offensive systems, and opportunity can tell you as much about a player’s future as last Saturday’s box score. That’s the perspective Joe Arpasi brings to College Fantasy Reign.
A former Division I college football coach, Joe brings firsthand experience with the game behind the fantasy numbers. While coaching high school football in Indiana, he was an early adopter of the 3-3-5 defense and shared his approach through coaching clinic presentations. That background informs his research today: how coaches deploy their players, what their systems produce, and where fantasy managers can find an advantage.
Helping Shape College Fantasy Football Since 2008
Joe began his CFF writing career at College Football Geek in 2008 and later became a co-owner, helping grow one of the early industry leading resources for college fantasy football. During that time, he helped introduce readers to analysts including Mike Bainbridge and John Laub as they began their CFF writing on the site.
He returned to publishing in 2024 with Let Purple Reign, which became College Fantasy Reign in late 2025. Today, CFR brings together his coaching-system research, player evaluations, matchup tools, and practical advice for drafting and managing a roster.
The goal is simple: help you understand why a player deserves your attention—and what to do with that information.
